MCLE Seminars for Law Firms

mcle-seminars

Winning a case in front of a jury is one thing; understanding how to win the hearts and minds of the public outside the courtroom is quite another. Englander, Knabe & Allen is approved by the California Bar Association to provide California MCLE Credit for a course which equips lawyers with strategies to win in the court of public opinion, as well as in the courtroom.

Law firms can participate in the special one hour seminar on “Litigation Communication and Crisis Response” at no charge and each attorney in attendance will receive 1 MCLE credit hour. The MCLE course helps attorneys learn how to manage the public risk inherent in high-profile litigation and public relations crises. We teach attorneys how to provide clients with strategies and tactics beyond those used in the courtroom, and how to protect the reputation of both clients and attorneys. This course teaches attorneys how to use media communication in order to win in the “Court of Public Opinion and specifically how to influence key decision-makers, the media, and the general public.”

This course contains tips for attorneys on how to handle crisis situations as soon as they receive a client’s phone call and how they can be prepared beforehand for when a crisis hits. The seminar provides techniques for communicating complex litigation issues so that they are understandable, tangible and compelling to targeted laymen audiences. In addition, the course instructs participants in how to formulate litigation communications strategy before filing to force settlement and in preparing post-verdict communications strategies, regardless of whether a client has won or lost in court.

For questions about the seminar, please contact Adam Englander or Eric Rose at (213) 741-1500.
